Coasteering in the Fowey Area
Vertical Descents is the only company to offer coasteering in the St Austell Bay area. Offering routes in Fowey, Pentewan and Gorran, we can take you to a variety of locations offering varied coasteering experiences.
Our mobile adventure bus will meet you at location where our expert guides will take you coasteering along this previously uncoasteered part of the Cornish coast.
The route at Fowey leaves from Ready Money Cove and offers a mellow route, with many great aspects of coasteering, this is a great introduction to coasteering and enables you to see some fantastic sealife and a great piece of the Cornish coast.
Our route from Pentewan is an all encompassing coasteering route. With jumps, slides, caves, adventure swimming and some great climbs, this route can be tailored to suit the family group or the adrenaline junkie.
Gorran Haven offers us a coasteering route unrivalled along this stretch of coast. Available for everyone who wants a true coasteering experience.
Ready Money Cove offers us a great beach to leave on a mellow but adventurous coasteering route. With all the usual elements packed into a mellow coasteer this route is great for the family
An amazing little bay with a fantastic coasteering route which has everything we need from caves to whirlpools, big jumps to high climbs, this is a real challenge
From Gorran Haven to The Vault, we can take you to some unchartered waters offering some great and unique coasteering.
The weather and sea state will determine the best location for the day however we will try and suit the coasteering location to the needs of the group.
Depending on the route we choose for you or you choose to do, we will meet in the car park highlighted on the map. We kit up there and leave from the beach.

|When?||All activities start at either 9.30am, 1.30pm or 4.30pm unless otherwise arranged. Specific times will be allocated to you on booking your activity but it is always best to be at least 10 minutes early|
|Who?||Age restrictions of 12 yrs or over do apply, however it is more dependent on whether the child fits into our smallest wetsuit and safety equipment. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. You do not need to be fit, however you do need to be physically and mentally able to be comfortable in this sort of outdoor environment.|
|What do we need to bring?||All specialist equipment is included in the price but you will need to bring something to wear under a wetsuit, swimming attire is best, some trainers (to get wet), a towel and warm clothes for afterwards. If you are booked on to full day trip please bring food and water for the day.|
