Different levels of terrain make great challenge stepping stones for beginners and experts alike. No matter your skill or fitness level, there is an outdoor adventure in Scotland that is waiting for you.

Via Ferrata UK

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to scale a waterfall? Or to see all the way into a valley from the top of the rock-face you just climbed? Even if you are not the most experienced of climbers, you will be able to do this and so much more. You may not have thought it would be possible to be able to climb as easily as Via Ferrata UK allows you to, but rest assured that our course in Kinlochleven, just outside of Fort William and Glen Coe, is professionally and safely crafted to give you all the exhilaration of any other climb.

Our Via Ferrata course is the second of its kind in the UK, coming shortly after the introduction of the first in the Lake District. It has been designed to guide all skill levels of climbers along our selected rock face, and you will feel the spray of the waterfall as you climb alongside it. It is a great choice of things to do near Fort William, and is perfect for families with children over the age of 10 who are able to withstand the physical challenge. Are you up for the adventure of a lifetime?

Coasteering

Another area that we regularly have activities in Scotland running is the seaside town of Oban. Popular among tourists, it is a haven for ocean lovers. If you are looking for more things to do in Oban, why not consider coming with us on a coasteering adventure? Coasteering gives you the chance to explore areas of wild coastline in a safe, monitored environment without changing the wild nature of the coast.

Explore vast areas of coastline with bubbling natural Jacuzzis, ocean-made caves, natural water flumes, and have a chance to get up close and personal with some of our most interesting ocean life including seals and otters to name a few. This activity is perfect for families and friends looking to make a grand adventure of their day out. It is not to be missed if you love the sea as much as we do! There is nothing quite like coasteering.

We also offer an Oban sea kayak adventure activity for those who really want to get even closer to the natural world in our waters. Don’t miss out if this sounds like your ideal activity weekend in Scotland!

Canyoning

Gorge-walking1

On the other side of the country in Perthshire are some of our most challenging and beautiful canyoning UK courses. We have been developing canyoning activities in Scotland since 1998 and have nationwide recognition as leaders in our field. Ben Starkie, one of our East Directors, is Chairman of the British Canyoning Association and UK Canyon Guides.  He provides training for other up and coming professionals – and you can be sure that your canyoning course has been chosen to excel in all fields for both your safety and your sense of accomplishment.

Activities in Scotland don’t get much more wild than canyoning. If you have a younger family, we offer more gorge walking trips throughout Scotland, and courses that match all age and skill levels. Simply let us know who is in your group and we will do the rest! Canyoning offers a chance to scale new heights, traverse running waters, and participate in jumps and cable traversing. If this sounds like the adventure in Scotland for you, what are you waiting for? This weekend could take you to new heights.
